An SEO newbie?  Do not fret.  Many of us are not really that familiar with SEO.  Most of those familiar with SEO, or at least trying to be familiar with it, are those who intently want to promote their websites to more and more people.  There is no question that business websites are first on the list of websites that need to go into SEO, in order to make more people know about their business, products and/ or services.

If you are new in the world of SEO, here are some of the points you need to fully familiarize yourself with:

Keyword optimization. Getting the right keyword is one of the most important things in SEO.  If you make use of the right keywords for your website, you can be assured of higher rankings in search engine results pages.  If you have such high rankings, more and more web users will be able to view your website.  Combined with fab web design and high quality content, you can be certain these website visitors will return and recommend your website to others.Content relevance. You may have the best keywords and long tail keywords, but if your web pages are disappointing and contain no relevant information for web users, your high ranking through SEO will surely be put to waste.  Web users will know the difference between a useful website and one that is useless to them.Healthy landing pages. A landing page is the page that web users first see when they click on your link as displayed in SERPs.  Your landing page need not be your home page.  It should be the page containing the relevant info pertaining to the keyword or phrase searched.  It should not only be relevant, but should also contain other elements that can help your website sell, like promotions, freebies, special offers and other marketing strategies you can optimize online.Linking pages. Maximize the use of relevant links that can bring in more web visitors to your website.  You direct your website visitors to other relevant and useful sites, and they can link back to you and help increase your web traffic that way.
